Bandi Sanjay To Donate Bicycles To School Students

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar today launched an initiative to donate bicycles to all Class 10 government school students within the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency.

As per reports, Sanjay has set a target of distributing 20,000 bicycles.

The bicycles have been procured using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.

No public representative in the country had distributed 20,000 bicycles in their constituency before, Sanjay said, and added that the inaugural event would take place at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar.

All arrangements are being made at the stadium for the event. A total of 21 stalls have been set up and decorated with colourful balloons and shamianas. Sanjay will hand over bicycles to students in Karimnagar town first. The union minister will be joined by district Collector Pamela Satpathy, City Police Commissioner Ghaus Alam, and several senior officials from the district education department.

The responsibility of distributing the bicycles has been entrusted to the district Collector, with the goal of ensuring that every eligible student receives one. The Collector has prepared a list of all Class 10 government school students in the district. The bicycles will be distributed across the constituencies. The Collector has been directed to complete the distribution within a month.

In another development, upon learning that patients in the Vemulawada, Huzurabad, Husnabad and Jammikunta government hospitals were suffering due to the lack of advanced equipment and could not afford private hospitals for diagnostic tests, Sanjay mobilized CSR funds worth Rs 5 crore to provide the necessary medical equipment to these hospitals.
