Minister For Secondary Education D Manikya Vara Prasada Rao on Friday thanked the media for their contribution in connection to the conduct of DSC-2008 posting issue. Talking to media persons at a crowded press conference, Vara Prasada Rao looked happy at the outcome. He said that the media had handled the issue sensitively and had been unbiased, understanding and precise while reporting the issue.
When a section of the press questioned him about rumours that Chief Minister K Rosaiah was angry with the minister, Rao said that it was untrue.
Rao said, "He (the Chief Minister) knows me and I know him".
Asked about the agitation by DSC-2008 selectees, the minister said "I am a human being and I am concerned about their problems."
When pointed out that complaints were raised that the minister had not kept his 'word', Rao said it was a democratic process as stipulated by the court, and there was no interference from the government's side.
