Primary Education Minister D Manikya Vara Prasada Rao on Monday stated that the government has issued posting orders for 22,231 Secondary Grade Teachers during the counseling conducted for candidates who qualified in the District Selection Committee 2008.
Talking to media persons, Prasada Rao revealed that nearly 50,000 teacher posts have been filled with the candidates in the largest ever drive conducted under the DSC.
About 2,275 candidates did not turn up for the counseling, he said, adding that the government has given these candidates an opportunity for attending a
re-counselling on November 23.
"If candidates fail to turn up for the re-counselling, their names will be removed from the selection lists", the minister stated.
The education department has issued notices to 2,205 candidates for not giving their option for counselling. These candidates must give their explanation before November 23 based on which the department would initiate action against them.
Meanwhile, home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy stated that the department will conduct a written test for the recruitment of 1,200 sub-inspector posts soon.
She said the officials are chalking out modalities for issuing a notification in this regard.
