Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today said that his government had done everything possible for the welfare of its employees despite the Covid pandemic and the financial problems.
He added that his government could do anything only if its employees extended their support.
Addressing a meeting of the leaders of the various employees' unions held at his camp office on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that no employee should turn emotional and take any kind of extreme step, and asked them to hold discussions with the government if they had any problem.
"I firmly believe in one thing. I am not here if you are not there," he said.
On the issue of the CCS, he said that the government had undertaken an in-depth study on it, and would show a way. He added that the employee unions would also be made a part of the process of solving the issue.
Referring to the contract employees, Jagan said that the government would adopt a roaster system on the issue, and that it had already issued orders on the same.
He also said that the government was giving promotions to 30,000 SGTs as school assistants.
