Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao demanding the immediate release of pending pensions of the pensioners of the State, and a PRC for the State government employees.
In his letter, he said that the retired employees in many districts had not been given pensions for the past two months.
"Retired employees have a number of health issues in their old ages. Money is a must for hospitals, medicine and nutrition. KCR's promise of retirement benefits being given to employees on the day of retirement is limited to just advertisements. All the retired employees are roaming around the offices for months. In Karimnagar district alone, pension files of 460 employees are pending with the finance department. The situation is similar for thousands of retired employees in all the other districts across the State," Bandi lamented.
"Even employees are not being paid salaries on time. The health scheme for employees and pensioners has been diluted, and they have been deprived of access to many medical services. You have also done injustice to the deserving people by hiring your supporters in promotions and postings. The PRC Commission appointed by your own government made a lot of valuable suggestions regarding employees and pensioners, but they have not been implemented. Is this what an employee-friendly government is?" he asked.
He said that the first PRC was due to expire by the end of this month and that a new PRC should come into effect from the next month, but that a new PRC had not even been constituted so far.
