Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today exuded confidence that the BRS would retain power in the upcoming Assembly elections to rule for a third consecutive term, and that his party would even get 7 or 8 seats more than its current number in the Assembly.
Addressing the last day of the monsoon session of the Assembly, the CM explained how Telangana had developed in various sectors during the last nine years, and spoke at length on various areas, including irrigation, drinking water and agriculture.
He said that the process of the farmers' loan waiver would be completed within one month. He also said that he had instructed the Chief Secretary to ensure that the Group-2 and other exams did not face any difficulties.
The Chief Minister also promised that as soon as the necessary financial resources were available, the government would increase the salaries of the employees again.
"We will give pay scales to the employees that will surprise the whole nation, and will announce an IR very soon. The employees are also our children," KCR said.
Stating that the MIM was always in alliance with the BRS, the CM said that his party would continue the association in future.
Launching a scathing attack on the BJP for maintaining a "dual stance" on freebies, the CM said that the BJP had criticised the BRS government labelling its welfare schemes as freebies, but the same BJP had promised many freebies in the Karnataka elections.
