YSRCP president and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had two important visitors at the Chancalguda jail on Saturday.
His mother Y S Vijayamma, also YSRCP's honorary president, was one. The duo reportedly exchanged views for some time.
Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, along with his son Ratnakar, was the other notable visitor.
Dadi had quit TDP when former Speaker Y Ramkrishunudu was nominated to the council instead of him. He was the floor leader of the TDP, and was with the party since its inception.
Dadi then said that he would support Jagan, and announced that he would
join the party at a later date.
Interestingly, he was a vocal detractor of the YSRCP while he was in TDP.
"The Jagan I heard about is different from the Jagan I have seen," he now claims.
"I criticized the YS family in tune with the TDP's policy, but I have nothing personal against them. I have come to know the facts now, and firmly believe that gross injustice was done to them," he said, adding, "I will now stand by the family." (INN)
