Lambasting N Chandrababu Naidu for not being with the people when he was needed the most, and sailing with the ruling party to further his personal agenda, Y S Vijayamma has said that his letter of acceptance had helped the Centre to divide the state.
Chandrababu Naidu has never taken up any dharna or agitation against the state government but has, on the contrary, supported it when we have moved a no-confidence motion. He has always placed his personal agenda before the peoples welfare and his letter has given Congress the strength to divide the state, she said in a brief address during her campaign rounds on Saturday.
"Even when the decision to divide the state was taken, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and I had undertaken fasts to keep the state united. Chandrababu Naidu, on the other hand, had given his firm nod for the bifurcation," she claimed.
"We have undertaken deekshas in Delhi and in the state as well, and we have always fought alongside the people, and have supported their cause. It is not like we are coming to the people only before the elections in order to seek votes as is the wont of other parties.
"Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy practices value-based politics and has promised to provide free education to two children from each family under the Amma Vadi scheme, to insulate farmers from price fluctuations by setting up Market Stabilisation funds, and to waive the loans of DWACRA groups," Vijayamma said.
