YSR Congress honorary president Y S Vijayamakshmi on Thursday called on her son and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, at Chanchalguda Central Prison.
Vijayamma was accompanied by Jagan's wife Bharathi, and Jalagam Venkat Rao, son of former Chief Minister Jalagam Vengal Rao. The trio reportedly had a detailed discussion over the padayatra being undertaken by YSR's daughter Sharmila from Kadapa district from October 18.
Jagan was reportedly briefed about the current political situation in the state, and the strategy adopted by the YSRCP to face it.
According to sources, Jagan has expressed hope that he would soon come out on bail and join the padayatra.
Jagan, who was arrested by the CBI on May 27 in a disproportionate assets case, has been lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail since his arrest. The Supreme Court
rejected his bail petition on October 5, and he is now preparing to file a revision petition. (INN)
