Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today directed the officials to take all the possible precautionary measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the Hyderabad Ganesh immersion which is to be held tomorrow.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting at the Command Control Centre over the arrangements for and supervision of the immersion process. Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, along with other senior police officials, attended the meeting.
Anand briefed the CM on the surveillance measures in place, mentioning that the immersion process was being monitored across Greater Hyderabad through 733 CCTV cameras.
The CM emphasised the need for special monitoring at key locations, including the Tank Bund, major immersion points and lakes. He said that in addition to continuous monitoring, there should also be a system where the staff received alerts and guidance from the Command Control every hour to ensure heightened vigilance.
Reddy also stressed on paying extra attention to problematic areas, and directed the officials to maintain a record of blind spots and hotspots to ensure effective surveillance. He also instructed them to take proactive measures to avoid any disruptions or issues during the immersion process.
