Police Give Out Rules For Immersion Of Ganesh Idols
The Hyderabad city police today announced rules for the Ganesh immersion processions on the X platform.

The Ganesh festival is coming to an end soon, and several Ganesh idols have already been immersed. The remaining Ganesh idols along with the Khairatabad Maha Ganapati will be immersed on the 17th of this month. The police department has said that it has completed all the arrangements for a peaceful immersion program.
Hyderabad CP C V Anand spoke on the arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh immersion. "The Ganesh idol immersion will be done in coordination with all departments. Around 25,000 people have been deployed for the Ganesh idols immersion. Additional security arrangements have been made in the troubled areas," he said.
"This year, the number of Ganesh idols installed is higher by 10%. All idols put together may number around one lakh. Idol immersions are going on in Hussain Sagar for the last four days. Thousands of Ganesh idols will be immersed on the 17th of this month. The Khairatabad Ganesh idol immersion would be completed by 1:30 pm," Anand added.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad city police today announced rules for the Ganesh immersion processions on the X platform. The vehicles to carry the idols should be arranged in advance, and those carrying idols from the South Zone limits on the day of the immersion should leave in advance and display the number assigned to them by the respective ACPs. The movement of the vehicles will depend on the instructions given by the police officers depending on the prevailing circumstances.
Also, only one vehicle is allowed per Ganesh idol, and no loudspeakers should be placed on the vehicles carrying the idols. Musical systems with DJs are not allowed on vehicles. Confetti guns should not be used to spray colours. Persons who have consumed alcohol or any other intoxicants will not be allowed in the vehicles carrying the idols. The participants should not affect traffic while passing the vehicle on the road. Vehicles carrying the idols should not be stopped near or on the way to any place of worship that may interfere with other vehicles and traffic.
No one may carry sticks/knives, firearms, inflammable materials or other weapons in the procession. The sticks used for flags or decorations should not be more than 2 feet long. Vermilion, kumkum or gulal should not be thrown on passersby. No political speeches, provocative speeches, slogans, provocative signs or banners should be used in the procession. No provocative acts may be committed that can hurt the sentiments of any section of the people. Fireworks should not be used during the processions.
