Wine Shops, Bars To Remain Closed In City On April 23

Wine/toddy shops, and bars attached to restaurants (excluding bars in star hotels and registered clubs), will remain closed on April 23 due to Sri Hanuman Jayanthi.

The Hyderabad Police Commissioner today issued a notification regarding wine shops and bars attached to restaurants in Hyderabad, under Section 20 (1) of the Telangana State Excise Act 1968.

The Commissioner said that wine/toddy shops, and bars attached to restaurants (excluding bars in star hotels and registered clubs), would remain closed from 6 am on April 23, 2024, to 6 am on April 24, 2024, on account of the Sri Hanuman Jayanthi festival to be celebrated in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
