Police Deploy 15,000 Force For Ganesh Immersion

The Hyderabad police have deployed a 15,000-strong force to ensure the peaceful immersion of Ganesh idols in the city.

The Hyderabad police have deployed a 15,000-strong force to ensure the peaceful immersion of Ganesh idols in the city.

Revealing the details of the immersion today, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar said that it was going on peacefully, and that all Covid-19 guidelines were being followed.

He also said that no untoward incident had taken place in the city so far, and that the police had made massive security arrangements in all the sensitive areas.

Kumar said that the immersion of the famous Balapur Ganesh idol was already completed by the organisers, and that the immersion of the other famous idol, the Khairatabad Ganesh idol, would also be completed very soon.

He said that the police were monitoring the entire situation from their command control room.

The immersion would continue till the midnight of Tuesday, he said.
