All the possible arrangements have been made for the Ganesh idols' immersion in the GHMC limits by the city police.
Police officials said that adequate arrangements had been made for the immersion of one lakh idols, and that 25,000 police personnel had been kept ready for the immersion bandobust.
The police have been working on the arrangements for the immersion for the past two months. Around 3,000 people have been deployed around the Hussain Sagar lake alone, where 25,000 to 30,000 idols will be immersed this year. Officials are preparing to immerse the idol of the Khairatabad Ganesh before 1:30 pm, and the Balapur Vinayaka idol by around 4 pm.
SHE teams are being deployed for the safety of women. There will be 12 SHE teams in and around the Hussain Sagar lake.
Heavy vehicles and private buses will not be allowed in the city from 6 am on Tuesday to 11 pm on Wednesday. The police have also imposed traffic restrictions across the city during the immersion. A total of 67 diversion points have been set up. Meanwhile, the Khairatabad Ganapati Sobha Yatra will begin at 6:30 am on Tuesday. Around 700 police personnel have been deployed for it, and as many as 56 CC cameras have been installed on the route. 220 police personnel have been deployed at the Balapur Vinayaka temple, and the Rachakonda police have deployed 30 CC cameras there. The Sobha Yatra from there will start after the auction of the laddu. After a journey of 16 km, it will reach NTR Marg.
