TDP President and former CM Chandrababu Naidu today wrote a letter to the DGP of Andhra Pradesh Gautam Sawang on the issue of the kidnap of a party worker Murali in his (Naidu's) Kuppam Assembly constituency.
In his letter, Naidu alleged that Murali was kidnapped by the ruling YSRCP workers.
He alleged that the ruling party workers took the TDP worker to the residence of RESCO Chairman G S Senthil Kumar after kidnapping him, and that there he was threatened with murder by the YSRCP workers and forced to give video testimony about one H M Murugesh.
He claimed that Murali was later taken to a secluded place and beaten badly.
Naidu made it clear that the state government would be held responsible if anything happened to Murali, and demanded of the DGP that the police provide security to Murali.
He also demanded that the DGP take action against those accused of the kidnapping.
