Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that the state government engage helicopters to rescue those trapped in floods, caused by the heavy rains, across the state.
The TDP chief on Thursday called up Chief Secretary Dr. P K Mohanty, requesting him to hasten the rescue operations in the rain affected areas in the state.
He asked him to engage helicopters to air-lift people, stranded in Eduraldapadu of Prakasam district and other places. He added that the relief and rescue operations should be taken on war-footing.
Meanwhile, Naidu also ordered the TDP cadre to help the authorities in rescue and relief works wherever necessary. (INN)
