BRS MLA T Rajaiah Cries At Being Denied Party Ticket
Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah on Tuesday turned emotional and shed tears at being denied the party ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah on Tuesday turned emotional and shed tears at being denied the party ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The list of BRS candidates for the elections, announced by party president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday, did not include the name of Rajaiah, and the seat was instead offered to former deputy chief minister and MLC Kadiyam Srihari.
Rajaiah along with his supporters came to the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar at his camp office in Station Ghanpur, where the MLA turned emotional. He sat in front of the statue and wailed at being denied the ticket. His supporters consoled him and shouted slogans in support of him.
With an emotional voice, Rajaiah however said that he would continue with the BRS, and would not cross the line drawn by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao even though the ticket was denied to him by the party. He also said that KCR had assured him that he would be given a great post.
For the uninitiated, Rajaiah had been accused of sexual harassment by a woman Sarpanch, and that may have played a role in his being denied the ticket.
