The Khanapur MLA who has been denied a party ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections said that that she would contest the upcoming elections anyway.
BRS MLA Rekha Naik, who has been denied a party ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections, today said that injustice had been done to her by the party high command.
She, however, said that she had not yet taken any decision on her next course of action.
She alleged that she was denied the party ticket as she would become a minister if she became MLA for a third consecutive term, and said that she was pained at the decision of the party high command.
Commenting about minister K T Rama Rao's reported friend Johnson Naik, who is being fielded from Rekha Naik's Khanapur Assembly constituency, she asked the party high command what Johnson Naik had done in the last six months in the constituency to get the party ticket.
She also alleged that Johnson Naik was a Christian and not an ST.
She said it was painful that a tribal woman leader was sidelined by the party.
She asserted that she would contest the upcoming elections anyway. She also said that she would continue in the party until her term as the MLA was over.
