Rectify Tirumalapur Pattas: BJP
The BJP on Saturday staged a protest in front of the Ranga Reddy Collector's Office and demanded that the erroneous pattas of Tirumalapur be rectified immediately.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday staged a protest in front of the Ranga Reddy District Collector's Office at Lakdi-ka-Pul, and demanded that erroneous entries in the patta land records of the "inam" lands be immediately rectified.
Leading the protest, BJP State Unit President G Kishen Reddy said that the rightful owners of the inam lands of the Tirumalapur village in the Pudur Mandal of the Ranga Reddy district were being cheated by a few unscrupulous elements that were in collusion with the officials to get the owners' names removed from the pattas.
Reddy said that the erroneous entries in the patta records were being overlooked by the government. "Some of the Congress leaders are hand-in-glove with the erring officials and the encroachers," he added.
The BJP leader said that the lands in survey numbers 32, 42, 48, 50, 52 and 61, and a few other areas, have been allotted to ineligible people. The people who were originally named in the inam lands were being deprived of their rights.
The BJP leaders also made a representation to the Ranga Reddy District Collector, and sought immediate rectification of the erroneous pattas. The leaders said that if the erroneous pattas are not rectified, they will approach the Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan to demand action. (INN)
