The Telangana BJP is launching a fortnight-long mass contact program christened "BJP Jana Chaitanya Yatra" in the state on Saturday.
The yatra (tour) will cover all the districts in the state from June 23 to July 6.
Various Telangana BJP leaders will participate in the program at various places. During the tour, the BJP will highlight the "achievements" of the Narendra Modi government and the "failure" of the TRS regime. The party will also create awareness of the welfare schemes initiated by the Prime Minister.
On the first day of the your, Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman will perform a puja (prayer) at the Sri Durga Matha temple at the Basheerbagh crossroads, after which he will proceed to Yadadri where he will pray to Lord Nrisimha Swamy and address a public meeting at Bhongir at 5 pm. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, MP and former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, BJLP leader G Kishan Reddy, BJP MLAs and other leaders will also address the people.
