BJP National Executive member and former minister Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy demanded a high-level probe into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of Water Grid scheme of Telangana.
Addressing a press conference at the State BJP office, Nagam alleged that the ruling party had entered a secret deal with pipeline manufacturers and started releasing funds in the name of Water Grid.
He said that the projects details were being dictated by the contractors, and that the government was not even listening to the opinions being expressed by departmental experts.
Nagam also dubbed Mission Kakatiya as "Commission Kakatiya", and demanded a probe into the same.
He said that there were a lot of irregularities in the implementation of both the flagship schemes of the TRS government, and that an enquiry should be conducted into them. Else, he threatened that the BJP would launch agitations across Telangana. (INN)
