Telangana BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Thursday charged Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with murdering democracy.
Speaking to the media at the exit gate of N Conventional Hall at Madhapur, where disgraced TDP MLA Revanth Reddy performed his daughter's engagement ceremony, Nagam criticised the Telangana CM for "corrupting the system and encouraging defections throwing all democratic norms and decency to the wind".
"How did 13 MLAs who do not belong to the TRS vote in support of the ruling party during the recent Legislative Council elections?" he asked, and demanded that KCR give an explanation to the people of Telangana.
Stressing the need to launch an agitation against the style of functioning of the Telangana CM, Nagam said that he was standing solidly behind Revanth Reddy as a friend.
Stating that he would work for the TDP-BJP combine as desired by his party high command, Nagam hoped that Revanth Reddy would get justice. (NSS)
