Telangana BJP head Bandi Sanjay Kumar has decided to launch a padayatra from August 9.
Speaking to the media, the firebrand leader revealed that the padayatra would begin from Hyderabad's Shri Bhagyalakshmi Mandir and would conclude at the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
He said that he had decided to take up the march to protect the democratic fabric of Telangana.
Alleging that the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and K Chandrashekar Rao, were enacting a drama over the issue of the sharing of the waters of the Krishna as part of their plans to roil up strong regional sentiments in their respective states, Kumar claimed that KCR had entered a compromise with Jagan to benefit in the upcoming by-election in Huzurabad.
He then expressed his belief that fellow BJP leader Etala Rajender would win the upcoming election despite these attempts of the CM to retain the seat, and termed the letter written by KCR to the union government on the water row fake.
Recently, TDP leader Kesineni Nani, too, had
slammed the CMs of the two Telugu states over the current water dispute, and had termed the bitter feud between the states "a big drama". He had also claimed that the entire world was well aware of the "cooperation" extended by the two leaders to each other before and after each Assembly election.
