BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar today wrote an open letter to the Chief Minister of the State Revanth Reddy and urged him to exempt the movie
Razakaar from entertainment tax, and also screen it for school and college students.
"Razakar is a film that shows the sufferings of the people of Telangana during the demonic rule of the Razakars. The wonderful movie showcases the struggles to liberate the people of Telangana from the Nizam's rule and provide them free air. The history of the warriors who fought against the demonism of the Razakars and the efforts of the iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to liberate the people of Telangana has been accurately portrayed. The film has been made with the good intention of conveying the details of the huge struggle of that time to today's generation, and I congratulate the director, the producers and the film unit for their excellent work. I encourage the government to remove all the obstacles created for the movie and make it much more accessible," he said.
He said that the waiver of entertainment tax for the movie would send a good message to the people. "I humbly request you to exempt the movie from entertainment tax, given that it has been produced through a lot of hardships and financial difficulties," he said.
