Lashing out at the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) for failing to conduct the T20 match between India and Australia on October 13 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azahruddin said that the failure of the HCA was clearly visible.
It was shameful that the HCA had failed to conduct the match though there was no rain, he said. "The inefficiency of the HCA was on full display," he said.
Azahruddin alleged that the HCA, which was supposed to be on full alert given that it was conducting an international match, failed to take adequate measures. He pointed out that rain had hindered the Guwahati match, too, but the organisers succeeded in conducting the match.
"The HCA totally failed in a similar situation. The attitude of the HCA is unprofessional," he said.
The spectators too expressed anger at the HCA and staged a dharna demanding that it repay the ticket money.
