Revanth Reddy Holds Dharna Before GHMC Zonal Office

The Congress MP today held a dharna before the Kukatpally GHMC Zonal Commissioner's office, seeking compensation for the families affected by the recent floods.
Hyderabad | 7th November 2020
Congress MP A Revanth Reddy today held a dharna along with his party workers before the Kukatpally GHMC Zonal Commissioner's office, demanding compensation for all the families affected by the recent floods in the state capital.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that the poor people of the city had lost everything in the floods, and were looking for the compensation from the state government. However, the ruling TRS leaders had siphoned off most of the compensation meant for the victims of the floods, and several irregularities had also taken place in the distribution of the relief, he claimed.

He also alleged that the compensation was given only to the TRS workers and sympathisers.

He warned the officials that they would go to jail if the Congress approached the court on the issue, and asked them to discharge their duties without succumbing to the pressure of the TRS leaders.
