AP Accounts On Polavaram Project Incorrect: BJP

BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari said that the Centre would immediately sanction funds for the project if the state submitted the correct accounts.

BJP leader and former union minister Daggubati Purandeswari today alleged that the accounts of the Andhra Pradesh government on the Polavaram project were incorrect.

Speaking to the media in Kurnool on Saturday, Purandeshwari said that the Centre would immediately sanction funds for the project if the state submitted the correct accounts.

She also said that it was unwarranted to say that the Centre had done injustice to AP. The Centre had given more funds to the state than it would have receive under the Special Category Status, she claimed.
