Rape & Murder Of Minor In Bollarum: Accused Held

The Bollarum police this afternoon nabbed Chintaginja Anil, 30, of Krishna Nagar Colony under Macha Bollarum in Alwal, who had abducted a minor girl and murdered her after raping her on Saturday evening.

The culprit was arrested at the Bollarum railway station.

According to police, on Saturday the accused lured the minor, 10, with the promise of a toffee, from a toddy shop at Macha Bollarum where her parents had come with her, and raped her near the Ammuguda railway track area after tying her hands and legs with her clothes. Later he killed the girl by throwing a boulder on her head, and fled.

Police said that the investigation had revealed that the accused was involved in 19 cases registered at the Alwal Police Station and at the Narsapur Police Station of the Medak district. He was already named in the rape and murder of two minor girls, and was also involved in extortion and robbery cases. He had been released from jail on bail just a few days before he committed the crime.
