The discovery of a woman's body today in Bachupally of Hyderabad caused a stir in the area.
Police found the decomposed body of a woman stuffed inside a travel bag in a deserted area near the Vijayadurga Owners Association Colony.
According to officials, some unidentified individuals abandoned the suitcase at the location. Local residents alerted the police after a foul smell began emanating from the suitcase. Upon reaching the scene, the police opened the bag and found the woman's body inside.
Preliminary findings suggest that the deceased was between 25 and 30 years old, and was wearing a maroon-coloured Punjabi dress.
A case has been registered, and the body has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital for a post mortem.
The police suspect that the woman may have been murdered three to four days ago, and her body disposed of at the location as part of a planned act.
Special teams, led by Balanagar Zone DCP Suresh Kumar, have launched an investigation to identify the deceased and track down the perpetrators. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined.
The police suspect that two individuals were seen moving suspiciously in the area, and efforts are underway to verify their involvement.
