Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao today asked the officials concerned to complete the two bedroom construction works in Dubbaka at the earliest.
He stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would inaugurate the 2BHK units in Dubbaka before July 10.
Speaking at a review meeting at the Siddipet Collector's office with officials, the minister said that the government would allot Rs 3 crore so that basic facilities could be provided to the two bedroom housing colonies.
Rao asked the officials to complete the works at the earliest as the houses were to be inaugurated by the CM by July 10.
"The government is spending an adequate amount of funds for the 2 BHK housing facility for the poor. This scheme will enable them to lead respectable lives. It is CM KCR's dream to ensure that the poor can avail themselves of the free housing facility," he added.
The minister also discussed other matters related to housing, irrigation projects, and the canals to be built for the Kaleshwaram irrigation project as well as the land acquisition for the same.
"The main canals have already been completed. Only the distributor canals need to be completed. Our government is completing the canals to ensure that a larger area of lands can be irrigated to increase agricultural production. So, the canals need to be completed at the earliest," he said.
"The land acquisition is to be completed with the cooperation of the farmers. They will get compensated for their lands. I urge the leaders of all the other parties to extend support for this process," Rao added.
