A 2-member team will assist the Srikrishna Commission to untangle the web of intrigue built by the various representations over water sharing problems in the state before the Panel.
Announcing this before media persons, Srikrishna Commission member-secretary Vinod K Duggal on Wednesday said that the panel, consisting of former Central Water Board Chairpersons A D Mohile and V B Gupta will assist the Telangana committee in sorting out the claims by people of the 3 regions that they have each been short-changed in the distribution of irrigation waters.
Duggal was speaking before the Telangana Committee members departed for New Delhi after a two-day visit.
The member-secretary further revealed that around 500 people have made their representations before the Srikrishna Panel so far, from diverse backgrounds, and they included political, cultural and non-political groups.
When newsmen questioned him about the
violence at the Odarpu Yatra and the
allegations of bias against students by the Board of Intermediate, Duggal refused to comment.
