Standing as a safeguard against crime and also serving as a resort in case of its occurrence, the city police of Hyderabad activated the 1091 emergency number on Monday.
Increasing complaints of eve-teasing and harassment from in-laws, lodged by women across the city prompted the police to take their protection services to a higher level, said North Zone Hyderabad DGP Nagi Reddy.
Talking about the new 1091 services, any woman facing either physical or mental abuse or harassment, or being subjected to intidimation & trauma, can contact the police immediately by dialling 1091 and take their help, he said.
The police also promised to reach the victim's location within 20 minutes of the call. While most of the police force in service for this purpose hails from the CCS police station, other policemen will be dispatched if available at closer locations.

Hi Medha. Suicide is not the solution at all. Lodge a complaint in Police Station and they will take care of the issue. Enjoy your life which is a gift from the God and try and life for your parents who gifte you this life.
i am Smt. jharna das, residing at visakhapatnam steel plant town ship since last 25 years. since last 4 days i am getting call from a mobile no.919716952465 . some lady from that mobile is telling that she is talking from delhi that i have a case bookked by a advocate of visakhapatnam and case is reffered to delhi. when i asked about the case she told me to contact Mo. no. 09711582781 whose name is R.C. Goutam and who is in visakhapatnam. kindly find the details. i could not find the person named R.C.Goutam as an advocate in visakhapatnam advocate list. i doubt some mischief is going on.
I too got a call today from these guys named Darmpal singh who is calling from delhi and he said that a case has been booked on me in delhi when i asked about the case details he told me to contact Mobile. Yes.. I agree... I got the call today from the same guy.... looks like there is some thing going on... R.C.Gautam says that there is some amount outstanding with Tata Indicom and do a out of court settlement so that I dont need to go to Delhi high court... :)... why would someone file a case in Delhi high court if the something goes in Hyderabad ... stupid fellow... for that matter.. I didnt have Tata Indicom at all

i am housewifw,my neibhour pinches me by abusing words daily,my hushband told me that avoided it .i am wait and suffer from 6 month for this ,ask me,whart i do and help me to stop it as soon as possible
ask him why are you pinching. Then it does not work threaten him by telling your husband. when this will not work report police or contact your relatives regarding this issue.
and through this social networks like facebook google+ etc. . That guy s creating fake accounts on my name and adding up all my friends cousins and abusing badly . This s becoming very worst day by day. I think there s proper protection to girls in hyderabad city. And because of this social network it is becoming more worst. I accepted my fault infront of my family and even my parents went to his parents and spoke that its our girl mistake to be in relationship but what to do even now that guy is indirectly torturing me.
i gave complaint and even after that guy s mentaly torturing me and trying to contact my cousin and other friends and trying to tell negative about me. My parents gave him warning and we even spoke to his family but its of no use, he s still back of me and trying to harm me.
Raj, thnx for suggestion but i already tried all these.last year i lodged a police complain,by that time he stopped bothering me for few months and again he has started bothering me.Even he started giving calls to my office.He just want to create a scene at my work place and where i live.so now thats the challenge for me
record the phone call conversations if possible and advise him that you have requested for the cops to tap this number to catch him red handed for evidence sake. Also advise him that you have a very right to live your life as you wish and like. He has no right to bother you as you can force people into the r'ship. If possible change your number and try to call your mobile provider to see if they could block calls/sms from certain numbers.
I broke up with my boy freind before 1year,but still he is harassing ,threatening me mentaly through phone calls and sms by anybody and everybody.On top of that he abuses also.I tried all the possible way to calm him but couldn't.What to do please suggest me.
