According to sources, Ummareddy's defection from TDP to YSRCP is expected to cost TDP it's only channel of influence over the Kapu community in Guntur.

Adding to the influx of experienced leaders to YSRCP from major parties is Vaddepally Narsingh Rao of Congress party.
