TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that the ruling YSR Congress Party government was intensifying its conspiracies against his party, and that the TDP was strongly condemning the conspiracies.
Naidu said that the ruling party had been resorting to false propaganda over and enacting an elaborate drama for sympathy for the stone-pelting incident on the CM. He claimed that the ruling party was desperate now as its leaders were jolted by the response of the people, and so was seeking to hurt the TDP using the incident.
"Four days have passed after the stone-pelting incident, and the top police officials have not been able to make a clear statement on it yet. The police have taken away youths and minors from Vaddera Colony claiming they were the accused. The families of the children are deeply concerned about this. Who threw the original stone? What are the reasons? The government is making vile attempts to hatch conspiracies without stating what the facts are," he said.
"The government is acting in connivance with the police department to imply that the attack took place at the behest of the TDP leaders. It is trying to implicate the opposition candidates contesting the elections, primarily the TDP leaders, in the case at any cost. To this end, efforts are being made to portray the accused as having links with TDP leaders. As part of this, the YSRCP is also conspiring to implicate Vijayawada Central constituency candidate and former MLA Bonda Uma in the case," Naidu added.
