Revive Brahmani Steels: YSRCP

The YSR Congress party, on Tuesday, appealed to the state government to revive the Brahmani Steels project.

Talking to reporters at the Assembly media-point, YSRCP MLAs K Srinivasulu and G Srikanth Reddy said that the project was at the initial stage of inception when the government had cancelled the land allotted for it. Sophisticated machinery worth nearly Rs. 1,300 crores had already been imported from China by then, they said.

Srinivasulu said that the project could bring employment for nearly two lakh people, including direct employment for nearly one lakh youth, especially in the Rayalseema region. (INN)
