YSR Congress Ridicules TDP Protest

YSR Congress Party MLA Anil Kumar Kaile today called the TDP's protests against the state's new sand policy insincere.
Hyderabad | 3rd December 2020
Andhra Pradesh's ruling party, the YSR Congress, today ridiculed the rallies and protests being held by its rival, the TDP, against the state's new sand policy.

YSRCP MLA Anil Kumar Kaile belittled the demonstrations, calling them nothing but charades and shams of the TDP.

Kaile also lashed out at former Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, and said that Naidu was a traitor who had betrayed the dalits of the state, and had attempted to enslave the community through his Janmabhoomi committees.

Rubbishing Naidu's claims of sincerity towards the community, he asked the former CM why his party only had one dalit MLA.

He also attacked TDP state president K Atchannaidu, and claimed that despite the party's pretence of being pro-dalit, Atchannaidu had hit a dalit employee of the state's Roads and Buildings department, Kalyani, with his feet.

The MLA claimed that it was not the TDP that had worked for the development of the dalit community, and that the community was progressing only due to the efforts of Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, and the welfare schemes being implemented by the latter.

He added that unlike Naidu, Reddy had not turned the dalits into slaves, and had instead brought in a volunteer system that ensured that the fruits of development and welfare programmes reached the beneficiaries.

He also alleged that despite all the claims of the TDP, it was not the common people of the state who had benefited under the party's regime, but only brokers and middlemen.
