Naidu To Hold 36-Hour Protest Against "YSRCP" Attacks
The TDP will hold a 36-hour-long protest condemning the alleged attacks by YSRCP activists on the party headquarters, district offices and party leaders.
Hyderabad | 20th October 2021
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president Chandrababu Naidu will hold a 36-hour-long protest program condemning the alleged attacks of ruling YSRCP activists on the party headquarters, district offices and party leaders, from Thursday.
The protest, titled "Fight Against Government Terrorism", will commence at 8 am on Thursday and end at 8 pm on Friday evening.
The program will be held at the state party headquarters.
In a statement, Naidu alleged that state-sponsored terror was going up in Andhra Pradesh, and that factionalism had joined hands with power.
He alleged that the CM had given his green signal to physical attacks on those who criticised him, and that the police force was also extending support to the YSRCP leaders to carry out their factionalism-based violence.
Naidu said that Tuesday was a dark day in the history of the state. A mob attack on the party headquarters of the opposition political party by the activists of a ruling party had never taken place in the history of the state in the past, he said, and claimed that the attacks had taken place as part of a conspiracy, with even the houses of the party leaders not spared by the mob.
He said that the TDP had been fighting over the public problems ever since the YSRCP had come into power, and that the ruling party had been continuously attacking its leaders and activists since then as it was not able to digest the protests of the TDP.
