TDP president Chandrababu Naidu today claimed that the Konaseema riots were pre-planned in order to divert the attention of the people from the murder of a dalit man Subramanyam by a ruling YSRCP MLC.
Delivering the inaugural address at the annual party conclave Mahanadu, Naidu said that the YSRCP government was facing a lot of opposition from the SCs after the murder of the dalit, and, in attempts to win back their trust, was resorting to all kinds of shenanigans.
He asked the ruling party leaders how it could happen that they could not prevent the attack on the camp office of no less than a minister.
Referring to the Gadapa Gadapaku program of the ruling party, Naidu claimed that the program was not receiving any response from the people, and that the ruling party had now taken up a bus yatra by ministers to get a positive response from the people.
The TDP chief alleged that the ruling party was ruling the State with the help of the police, and that anyone who spoke against the State government was being seen as its opponent. He warned the ruling party that the TDP workers would however react more aggressively hereon whenever they were harassed by the ruling party.
He added that the TDP workers were not cornering the State government to protect their properties but to solve the problems being faced by the people. He said that they would go ahead with their battle with Ambedkar as their role model.
Hailing the services of his own party, Naidu said that the TDP had brought about monumental changes in the lives of the people, and that the history of the State should be cleaved into that before and after the TDP's rule.
Stressing on the need to infuse new blood into the party, he announced that he would give 40% of the party tickets to the youth leaders of the TDP. He also told the party leaders and workers that their work for the party would get them the tickets, and not any recommendations.
