The CBI Special Court on Friday adjourned till 21 November the hearing on the petitions filed by Income Tax Department authorities seeking information on cash and documents found during the searches in Jagan's disproportionate assets case.
The court, after hearing the arguments of the IT department's counsel, adjourned further hearing till 21 November.
Earlier, Jagan and Emaar Properties also had filed petitions in the court, vehemently opposing the provision of information about cash and documents to the IT department.
However, the CBI counsel told the court that it had no objection in sharing the information with the Income Tax Department. The CBI, said that Jaganmohan Reddy and Emaar were creating obstacles stating that the seized material could not be given away and that the IT department should list out only relevant documents.
The IT Department wanted the information in order to complete the pending assessments before 31 December 2011. (INN)
