Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy today said that he would fight until justice was served to the victims of the RRR project.
The MLA met with the project's land oustees at Samsthan Narayanapuram Mandal headquarters in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that he would not remain silent if injustice was done to the affected families, and would go to any extent to secure justice for them.
He also said that even if the RRR project was repealed, he would not allow injustice to be inflicted on the displaced people.
He said that the problem could be resolved only if the State government was held accountable in some areas.
He said that the people were his strength, and that he was ready to fight for them in any necessary way and make any sacrifice if necessary. He said that although he was an MLA of the ruling party, he would stand against his own party's government if injustice was done to the people.
He also said that the emotional connection between land and farmers was inseparable. "Land is not just about agriculture; it is a matter of status. In the RRR project, the people of the Munugodu Assembly constituency are losing most of their lands. I will bring their problems to the attention of the State government. If necessary, I will meet Union ministers. I will fight alongside you as a legislator until you receive justice," Reddy said.
