Miryalaguda MLA Bathula Laxma Reddy today met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with his family members and handed over a cheque for Rs 2 crore.
He requested the Chief Minister to use the amount for the benefit of farmers in his constituency.
The Congress MLA appealed that one lakh farmers be provided with a free bag of urea each.
Recently, the MLA's son, Sai Prasanna, got married. Initially, Laxma Reddy had planned to host a grand reception in Miryalaguda. However, he cancelled the reception and decided to allocate the money for farmers' welfare instead.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appreciated the MLA and the MLA's family for their noble gesture.
