Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy today expressed concern over false reports being circulated on the social media to damage his reputation, and appealed to party workers not to believe such rumours.
On his way to a program in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Reddy had lunch with party activists at Peddakaparthi village in Chityala mandal. Speaking to reporters later, he said baseless claims were being spread that he was resigning, switching parties, or floating a new party.
"I have only expressed my opinions publicly to strengthen the ruling Congress. What is wrong with that? Even today, while I am heading to Guntur for a private program, rumours are being spread that I am meeting former CM Jaganmohan Reddy," he said.
Reddy announced that he would soon hold a press conference to reveal his political plans. Until then, he urged people not to believe such false rumours.
