A woman who has been missing since August 25 is now believed to have been raped and murdered by unidentified persons at a construction site in Nanakramguda.
The deceased has been identified as a 38-year-old labourer from Vaddera Basti in Keshavnagar of Gowlidoddi. She is survived by two sons and a daughter.
The victim is believed to have gone to a construction site to pick up waste material, and was missing since then. A missing persons case was registered at the Gachibowli police station on Sunday, August 27. The murder came to light late today after labourers found her body lying unclothed in an isolated area of the site, and informed the police. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed grief over the incident, and asked the CS, DGP and Cyberabad CP for a detailed report on the incident within 48 hours.
