Three individuals were arrested today in connection with the double murder that took place in Hyderabad's Narsingi area.
The accused, identified as Rahul Kumar Saket (16), a driver; Raj Kumar Saket (22), an office boy; and Sukhendra Kumar Saket (30), a housekeeping worker; all hail from Madhya Pradesh.
The victims - Divya Bindu, a native of Chhattisgarh, and Ankit, from Madhya Pradesh - were found murdered in the Puppalaguda hillocks on January 12. The police struggled initially to identify the victims, but by the next day they had gathered crucial details about their activities.
According to Rajendranagar DCP Ch Srinivas, Divya Bindu was a sex worker, and Ankit facilitated her services to clients. Rahul Kumar, one of her clients, had previously paid Ankit Rs 4,000 for Bindu's services. Rahul had secretly recorded intimate moments with Bindu, which she objected to, leading to multiple altercations.
In a fit of rage, Rahul, along with Raj Kumar and Sukhendra Kumar, plotted to kill both victims. The trio attacked Ankit with a knife and crushed his face with a boulder before turning the same weapon on Bindu.
The police recovered the victims' mobile phones from the accused and produced them before the local court for transit warrants.
