Judicial Inquiry Into Rape Accused Raju's Suicide
The Telangana High Court has ordered a judicial inquiry into the suicide by Palakonda Raju, accused in the rape and murder of a six-year-old in Hyderabad.

The Telangana High Court today directed a judicial inquiry into the alleged suicide by Palakonda Raju who was accused in the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in the Saidabad area in Hyderabad.
After hearing a petition by Civil Rights Association President Lakshman who argued that the police had killed Raju and had falsely claimed that he had committed suicide, the High Court said that the Warangal district criminal court would inquire into the case, and directed the police and other concerned officials to submit all details of the case and all video evidence to the third metropolitan judge of the court by 8 pm tomorrow.
It also directed the third metropolitan judge to give a report on the case in a sealed cover in four weeks.
Earlier, during the hearings, the government counsel had informed the court that Raju had indeed committed suicide as reported by the police officials, that there were seven eye-witnesses, and that the entire post mortem was videographed.
