6-Year-Old Girl Rape-Murder Accused Raju Commits Suicide
The accused in the rape-murder of a six-year-old girl from Saidabad Colony, Raju, committed suicide by jumping under the wheels of a train.

The accused in the sensational rape-murder of a six-year-old girl from Saidabad Colony of the city, Pallakonda Raju, committed suicide by jumping under the wheels of a train at Station Ghanapur in Jangaon district on the Warangal-Ghatkesar road.
He was identified with the help of a tattoo on his hand.
Warangal Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi, who visited the area where the accused committed suicide, said that the police received information at about 10 am that a body was lying on the railway track.
"Railway workers told the police that a person had jumped before the Konark Express and killed himself, and that the body lying was at the Rajaram railway track. The local sub-inspector of police reached there to begin investigation. Since the entire state police was looking for the accused and we had all the details about him, it was confirmed quickly from identification marks that it was the body of Raju," Joshi said.
The body was shifted for autopsy to MGM Hospital after a panchanama was conducted on it, and Raju's family members were informed, Joshi added.
For the unversed, Raju picked up the six-year-old when she was playing in front of her house in Singereni Colony of Saidabad and raped her before brutally murdering her.
The parents of the victim had come to the city from Devarakonda of Nalgonda district in search of a livelihood.
Several civil society organizations and social activists had expressed their anger over the incident, and demanded that the state government immediately arrest the accused.
The police have been searching for Raju for the last 8 days.
