The TRS government was firm on constructing a beautiful and spacious Secretariat for smooth governance to be offered to the people, TRS leader Karne Prabhakar told media persons today.
He said that the new Secretariat would come up at any cost despite the opposition parties "creating obstacles".
The present Secretariat had no basic and common facilities, and the new building would accommodate all departments at one place, he claimed.
The TRS leader took serious exception to the Congress leaders for taking up
a protest at Bison Polo grounds against the government's plans for a new Secretariat, and to TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and V Hanumantha Rao for talking against the proposed complex. He expressed surprise at the opposition stiffly opposing the new complex and all the development programs of the TRS. The Congress particularly was hell-bent on thwarting the development of the state, he fumed.
The Bison Polo grounds were well-connected via road, Metro rail, rail and air, and the plan for a new Secretariat complex there would be executed, Prabhakar said.
