Criticising Bandi Sanjay's proposed protest, the Telangana minister said that even the union BJP government hadn't filled government job vacancies.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today criticised BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay's proposed protest for jobs for Telangana youth, as opportunistic.
"It is not a protest for jobs, but an attempt at opportunistic politics," Rao said.
In a letter written to Sanjay, the minister asked him to instead stage a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to ask the Centre to fill up vacancies as it had promised.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to give 2 crore jobs a year, and failed. Vacancies across the country are at never-before levels due to the failed policies of the BJP government. The BJP leaders in the state have no moral right to demand the filling up of vacancies, as the union government led by the BJP itself has failed to do the same. If you are so committed to fight for jobs for the youth, press the Centre to give the jobs it promised," KTR said.
He also demanded that the BJP government release a White Paper on how many jobs it had filled so far.
The Prime Minister had been denying the necessary support to Telangana to develop, KTR alleged, and pointed to the ITIR for Hyderabad being cancelled by the BJP government.
On the other hand, Telangana with its TSiPASS and other industry-friendly policies got about Rs 2.20 lakh crore in investments to the state, and had provided employment to about 16 lakh people, he claimed.
He also said that the Pharma City, a medical devices park, the Textiles Park and others had come to Hyderabad due to the Telangana government's policies.
"We have got international companies to invest and expand their businesses in the state despite the Centre failing to give us any support or funds," he claimed.
