We'll Go To Amaravathi If Invited: KTR

K T Rama Rao said that the heads of the Telangana government would attend the Amaravathi foundation-laying function if invited by the Andhra Pradesh government.

Telangana Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday said that they (the heads of the Telangana government) would attend the Amaravathi foundation-laying function on October 22 if invited by the Andhra Pradesh government.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan, the minister said that the two Telugu States were competing with each other only in development.

Stating that the people of coastal Andhra had benefited significantly with the bifurcation of united State, KTR said that the question of building a grand new capital for Andhra Pradesh would not have arisen if not for the bifurcation.

KTR also stressed the need for the people of the two Telugu States to work unitedly for the welfare of the Telugu-speaking people.

"Wherever we live, out motto should be to enhance the glory of the Telugu people and culture," he added.
