Naidu To Personally Invite KCR To Amaravati Function
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu today launched the distribution of the invitation cards for the foundation-laying ceremony of the State's new capital.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today launched the distribution of the invitation cards for the foundation-laying ceremony of the proposed new capital of Andhra Pradesh christened Amaravathi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other dignitaries are likely to attend the ceremony, to be held during the Dasara festival.
Naidu has reportedly also decided to invite his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao to the function. He reportedly told his Cabinet colleagues that he would personally meet KCR and invite him to the function.
Similarly, Naidu has decided to send invitation cards to the Chief Ministers of the neighbouring States, too.
In this connection, a Cabinet meeting was held at the CM's camp office at Vijayawada. The meeting mainly discussed the arrangements to be made for the foundation-laying ceremony.
Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Chinarajappa and Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao and others attended.
The Cabinet also reportedly discussed changing the name of Rajahmundry to Rajamahendravaram.
